Stella and Mary McCartney have championed sustainability in their careers for decades, no doubt inspired by their mother Linda McCartney’s planet-friendly, plant-based empire. Today, they are combining their creative talents for the first time by collaborating with luxury brand The Macallan.
The whisky powerhouse has collaborated with the McCartneys to launch two limited-edition product collections, inspired by the sisters’ early memories and connection with the forests, seas and wide-open spaces of the Scottish coast.
The two collections, Harmony and TOGETHER, combine The Macallan and the McCartneys’ shared values around curiosity, respect and admiration for the natural world, alongside their long-standing principles to strive for a better way. The Harmony Collection sees the release of two new whiskies, while TOGETHER: A Collection for The Macallan by Stella and Mary McCartney offers luxury lifestyle pieces such as a ceramic flask (with apple-leather sleeve), brass barware and a lambswool blanket, solidifying the distillery as purveyors of not just incredible single malts, but opulent pieces that elevate your drinking experience too.
The third release in The Macallan Harmony Collection features ‘Amber Meadow’ and ‘Green Meadow’ whiskies, to celebrate Scotland’s lush and fertile lands which connects all those who have stood upon it for generations. The colors on each bottle represent the whisky’s amber hue and the verdant green tones of the Scottish countryside and The Macallan Estate.
The design of the product’s presentation box and bottle labels, including the discarded meadow grass cuttings, reflects Scotland’s landscapes and shows a dedication to natural materials. The Macallan has created a single malt whose color and tasting notes is reminiscent of lush meadows and barley fields, with the packaging featuring photography of The Macallan Estate by Mary McCartney.
The third release in The Macallan Harmony Collection will happen alongside the release of the TOGETHER Lifestyle Collection, which features exquisitely designed and handcrafted lifestyle pieces. These pieces are also symbolic in their design, with all packaging being fully recyclable.
Crafted using centuries-old as well as innovative techniques, the pieces in the TOGETHER collection are handmade, celebrating artisans and the art of human touch, while bringing the spirit of The Macallan brand into the home.
The collection includes a pair of glass tumblers, a lambswool blanket, a ceramic flask with apple leather sleeve, brass napkin weights, a set of three ceramic bowls and six ceramic coasters. The ceramic flask features apple leather while the blankets are woven from wool. All pieces have been designed by the sisters and skilfully realised by master artisans and craftspeople.
Another symbolic feature can be found in the glass tumblers, which boast circular bottoms and square tops; the circle mirroring Stella’s influence in the circular world of fashion and sustainability, and the square echoing the composition of Mary’s photography. Each napkin weight is cast from molten brass in a bespoke, handcrafted mould and is a tribute to the exceptional oak casks in which The Macallan matures its whisky. The pieces also feature a bespoke logo that represents the collaboration between the McCartney sisters and The Macallan.

Alongside raw, ethically sourced materials, color plays a key role in harmonising these pieces in the home. Amber represents the color of the whisky, green symbolises the nature of The Macallan Estate, and red honors the craftsmanship behind the collection.
The collection, which features 11 pieces comprising 22 individual items, comes in a bespoke, stacked and fully-recyclable presentation box, with each piece intricately interlocked across three layers and featuring photography of The Macallan Estate by Mary McCartney. Only 300 sets of the 11 pieces will be produced, available to purchase only as a set.
