MODESTO, Calif. (FOX26) — Two people are recovering after a three-car garage caught fire in Modesto.

The Modesto Fire Department says engines from both Modesto and Stanislaus County were called to a home on Balfour Lane in southeast Modesto.

When engines arrived, they found a three-car garage in flames.

Officials say it took 21 firefighters to put out the flames and two people reported minor injuries following the fire.

Those impacted by the fire were given a $250 California Fire Foundation SAVE card to help with immediate needs. They were also helped by the American Red Cross.
