Bytes Technology Group has reported higher pretax profit and sales for the first half despite a challenging environment.
The U.K. software, security and cloud-services specialist said Wednesday that pretax profit for the six months ended Aug. 31 was 33.3 million pounds ($40.5 million) compared with GBP27.0 million for the same period a year earlier
Revenue rose to GBP108.7 million from GBP93.5 million reflecting a strong customer base.
Gross profit increased 15% to GBP75.3 million.
“Looking ahead, we have made a good start to the second half of the year and are well-placed for the remainder of the financial year,” Chief Executive Neil Murphy said.
The board declared an interim dividend of 2.7 pence a share, up from 2.4 pence.
