First Time Katharine Mcphee Has Been Spotted Since the ‘Terrible’ Family Tragedy

Katharine McPhee was seen at the LAX airport in Los Angeles on Friday, not long after hearing that her son’s nanny had died suddenly.

The 39-year-old former American Idol winner was seen in pictures obtained by the Daily Mail wearing comfortable grey sweatpants, a white t-shirt, and a blue and white button-down shirt.

She finished off her casual look with a Chanel clutch bag, a pair of tube socks, shoes, and a cap that said “Singapore” on it. She also tipped the cap on purpose at times to hide her face a little.

After the “horrible” thing happened to her family, McPhee had to hurry to the end of her trip in Asia.

The Over It singer wrote on Instagram Friday morning, “Dear Jakarta fans, it breaks my heart to say I have to miss the last two shows of our Asia tour.”

“David [Foster] and I have had a horrible tragedy in our family and at least one of us need to get back home to our family.”

She ended her speech by saying, “Please know how sorry I am and how much I wish to return one day and perform for you all. Love Katharine.”

At the time, not much was known about the terrible event that had just taken place.

TMZ found out hours later that the nanny who took care of McPhee and Foster’s 2-year-old son, Rennie, had died. Her name hasn’t been made known to the world either.
