Tonle Fish was the focus of the Management Committee of Tonle Sap Biosphere Reserve’s earlier this week field visit to the Stung Sen Ramsar site.
According to the NatureLife Cambodia Organization issued on June 14, Mom Thany, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Environment, led the delegation, which included provincial deputy governors from the six provinces surrounding Tonle Sap and representatives from relevant ministries and NGOs.
Mom Thany and the team praised the outstanding work of our community-based Enterprise, which focuses on livelihood improvement, women’s empowerment, and the production of local products with high hygiene standards.
The delegates purchased over 100 pieces of delicious smoked fish to show their support.
CPA leader Mrs Hun Chengkea expressed her gratitude and commitment to furthering production and improving practices for even better results.
Tonle Fish is a biodiversity-friendly smoked fish processed under nine rigorous criteria to enhance local livelihoods, create job opportunities, empower women, and ensure high-quality, hygienic products.
As the first product of the Tonle Sap Community-based Enterprise, we are dedicated to expanding to more products in the near future.
