A man is dead after he crashed into the Androscoggin River in northern New Hampshire.New Hampshire State Police say another driver called 911 just after 4 p.m. Tuesday, saying they saw a car under water in the river in Errol in Coos County.When police and firefighters arrived, they found the car completely submerged on the east side of Berlin Road. Emergency responders could not see any people but were not able to reach the car because the water was too deep.A Fish and Game dive team was called in and found a blue 2000 Ford Mustang registered in Upton, Maine, about 50 feet from shore in 12 to 15 feet of water. When divers got inside the vehicle, they found the driver dead.Police identified the driver as Michael Marshall, 21, of Littleton, New Hampshire. Police believe he was the only person in the vehicle.
