Katy Perry Boasts That She Beat Orlando Bloom at Pickle Ball

The singer, 38, said she ‘definitely beat’ the actor, 46, in a pickleball match she played on Monday in Santa Barbara, California, to raise money for her Firework Foundation.

Perry posted a video of the occasion to Instagram, along with the caption, “My mom brought (maybe even forced) her love for pickleball upon our family, and now we’ve decided to use those pickle powers for good.”

“Yesterday @fireworkfoundation had our inaugural Light Up The Court pickleball tournament in Santa Barbara to raise money for scholarships, more camps, and programming to bring the arts to kids from underserved communities! (And not to brag, but I totally beat @OrlandoBloom in front of everyone too),” she said.

The American Idol judge went on to thank everyone who took part in the competition, sponsored it, and donated to the foundation, which she and her sister Angela Hudson founded to “give [the youth] a place where they can be a kid again.”

“You’ve all helped ignite the light in some amazing kids. See you next year!,” she wrote at the end of her caption.

In the competition footage, Perry and Bloom can be seen competing with their playing partners. Perry then gives Bloom a consolation kiss after celebrating with her squad.

The Roar singer was dressed suitably for the day’s festivities, wearing a white Firework Foundation T-shirt, a green skirt, a white visor, and green and white knee-high socks.
