DAVV and Taiwan University Collaborate on Environmental Conservation | Indore News


Indore: Chief minister Dr Mohan Yadav virtually inaugurated a one-day international symposium on environmental administration organised by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya and I-Shou University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on the varsity’s Takshashila campus on Tuesday.
During the event, DAVV vice-chancellor prof Renu Jain and I-Shou University president Dr Gu Yan Kuang signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at active involvement in environmental conservation.
While addressing the gathering virtually, the chief minister assured DAVV that the state govt would ensure smooth implementation of the MoU at the administrative level and strengthen ties with Taiwan.
He said, “DAVV’s educational and research collaborations with Taiwan, a leader in semiconductor and chip design globally, through the MoU will open new avenues for progress for students, researchers, and investors from Madhya Pradesh. DAVV has collaborated with six universities in Taiwan. The state government will endeavour to ensure smooth implementation of the MoU at the administrative level and strengthen ties with Taiwan.”
On the occasion, Peter Chen, education director of TESCCC, New Delhi said, “India possesses a rich cultural heritage and abundant human resources, surpassing Taiwan in population. This MoU will soon become active, facilitating exchanges for students”.
The symposium underscored the shared commitment of Madhya Pradesh and Taiwan to tackle environmental challenges, highlighting the importance of sustainable practices and international cooperation for a better future.
Higher education minister, Inder Singh Parmar, also congratulated the university for this initiative. The symposium was chaired by Baushuan Ger, ambassador of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center (TECC) in India. DAVV registrar Dr Ajay Verma and collector Ashish Singh were also present during this event.
