Amber Heard was seen for a short time in the Aquaman sequel, even though there were rumors that she had been cut from the movie starring Jason Momoa.
According to Deadline’s story from CinemaCon 2023, the first trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was released, and to everyone’s astonishment, Heard made a brief appearance in it.
The Rum Diary star “does have a cameo” as Mera in the movie’s trailer, “but in a battle scene,” the newspaper said.
Heard’s part in the superhero movie was called into question when she sued her ex-husband Johnny Depp for defamation.
During the trial, the mother of one said that her part in the movie was cut after the lawyers for the Pirates of the Caribbean actor called her abuse claims a “hoax.”
“I really fought to stay in the movie. “They didn’t want me to be in the movie,” she said in court.
Walter Hamada, the head of DC Films, denied her claims when he was called to court to talk about the actor’s smaller part.
Hamada said that Heard’s part wasn’t cut down because of the trial, but because there were worries that the actor and Momoa wouldn’t get along.
“The size of the role in the film that she has was determined in the early development of the script,” Hamada said.
More than 4.5 million people signed a petition during the trial to get Heard out of the movie.
