Those attending Lincoln Land Community College’s Workforce 101 event will be able to try the school’s career training programs in various industries.

SPRINGFIELD — Lincoln Land Community College is allowing people to give its career training programs a try through a Workforce 101 event.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 11 at the college’s Workforce Careers Center on its Springfield campus . The event is free.
From 10 to 11:15 a.m., visitors will be able to attend hands-on workforce sessions in a variety of industries, including construction, automotive technology, HVAC, commercial electrical maintenance, and hospitality and culinary arts.
For the remainder of the event, participants can learn how to enroll in and pay for the career training services.
