Context:
Excel has secured one of women’s basketball’s biggest rising stars, with Clark’s popularity having already landed her brand deals with State Farm, Nike, HyVee, Topps, and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions. The 21 year old is projected to be the first overall pick of the 2024 Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) draft and Excel already represents league players Arike Ogunbowale, Napheesa Collier and NaLyssa Smith.
Comment:
“I have grown up with role-models who broke the mold of what it means to be an athlete, finding success beyond their sports and making a larger impact in the world,” said Clark.
“There is a lot I want to accomplish, as a basketball player, in business and giving back to communities through the Caitlin Clark Foundation. I know the key to that is working with the right people, which is why I am so excited to join the Excel family.”
Coming next:
Clark is set to begin her senior season with the Iowa Hawkeyes after leading the team to the 2023 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Women’s National Championship game.
