Axiometrix Solutions to host webinars on automotive testing challenges

Axiometrix Solutions, a measurement-focused business group comprising Audio Precision, GRAS Sound & Vibration and imc Test & Measurement, will hold two webinars, on July 2 and July 3, covering automotive testing challenges. imc Test & Measurement will deep dive into data acquisition on e-vehicles, and GRAS Sound & Vibration and Audio Precision will discuss in-cabin acoustic testing.

Webinar 1: Beyond measurement technology: solutions for testing electric vehicles and EV components

imc Test & Measurement will host this webinar on July 2 at 7:00pm CEST and July 3 at 9:00am CEST.

Led by Bernd Dippold, head of business development at imc, this webinar aims to provide essential insights for test and measurement engineers in the automotive industry as they navigate the challenges posed by the electrification of powertrains.

Agenda highlights:

  • Measuring EV battery systems: Insights into power measurement during the charging of battery systems, including WLTP measurements.
  • Efficiency matters: Comparison of mechanical and electrical power, focusing on optimizing EV performance through efficiency measurements.
  • Turn-key test-bench solution for traction motors: An overview of back-to-back test stands, temperature measurements in rotors of electric motors, and rotor-position sensor tests.
  • Traction in focus: Detailed examination of measuring wheel forces on EVs, critical for energy balance and efficiency.

Engineers and technicians interested in participating can register here.

Webinar 2: In-vehicle acoustic test according to AES TC-AA recommendations

GRAS Sound & Vibration and Audio Precision will hold this webinar on July 3, at 10:00am CEST and 6:00pm CEST.

Hosted by James Kelly, AP Regional Manager, and the GRAS Support and Applications team, the webinar will cover:

  • AES-recommended procedures: Exploration of procedures for measuring key attributes of a car’s audio system.
  • GRAS RA0399 six-microphone array: Introduction to the latest ¼in high-sensitivity microphones from GRAS.
  • Integration with audio precision analyzer: Demonstration of how the GRAS front end connects with the Audio Precision multichannel audio analyzer, including data acquisition and analysis using APx500 software.
