WINSTON, Ore. – Wildlife Safari recently added one very cute new addition to their family in the form of a 7-month-old grizzly bear cub that can be found in the bear loop of their drive-thru park.
The adorable 100-pound female cub was discovered abandoned in Montana and has since found a new and loving home at the park, Wildlife Safari officials said. Staff are training her daily on allowing physical examinations and presenting her paws so they can monitor her long-term health.
The cub has a very sweet demeanor and a tremendous love for frozen melons and cashews, and Wildlife Safari staff said that she’s settled in nicely to her new home. Visitors to the park can observe her as she explores her spacious outdoor habitat, providing guests with an opportunity to learn more about bears and the importance of their conservation.
Wildlife Safari staff said they are committed to promoting wildlife conservation, education, and research, and the park raises public awareness of challenges faced by animals while also inspiring the next generation of conservationists. The park affords visitors the opportunity to see and experience various species in a naturalistic and spacious environment, staff said.
