Hear what Hubert Davis, Armando Bacot, and RJ Davis had to say about the UNC basketball program as part of the ACC Tipoff Event.
Day one of the ACC Tipoff Event in Charlotte, which was held on Tuesday, focused on the women’s basketball programs.
Wednesday’s festivities were dedicated to the men’s teams.
Hubert Davis, Armando Bacot, and R.J. Davis represented the UNC basketball program at the event, as they spoke to the media about the upcoming college basketball season.
Of course, the trio were asked a variety of questions, ranging from the disappointment of the 2022-2023 season to personal goals set forth by not only the individuals but the team as a whole.
In case you were unable to watch the event, which was televised as part of all-day coverage live from Charlotte, below are some videos of all three UNC basketball representatives talking to the media. Tar Heel Illustrated has you covered with video links of the individual media sessions!
You can start by listening in to what Hubert Davis had to say as he prepares for his third season as the head coach of the UNC basketball program:
A veteran of every sort (yes, this was his third ACC Tipoff event that he attended!) Armando Bacot joked about him being the elder statesman and also discussed some things he hopes to accomplish before his historic career at North Carolina comes to an end:
Finally, you can’t forget about R.J. Davis, a senior who is expected to take on an even bigger role for this Tar Heels team this upcoming season:
Along with the scheduled media sessions, photo shoots and other interview opportunities were there for the players to take part in. Bacot specifically had an interview with Andy Katz to discuss his legacy and his hopes to avenge not making last year’s NCAA Tournament:
