Shelley Duvall, star of ‘The Shining’ and ‘Nashville,’ dies at 75


 

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Shelley Duvall, the celebrated actor who starred in acclaimed films such as Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining” and Robert Altman’s “Nashville,” has died, according to media reports. She was 75.

Duvall eventually left Hollywood for her native Texas and would later appear on “Dr. Phil” in 2016.
