Aespa will be the first K-pop group to ever go to the Cannes Film Festival. The news was revealed by their company, SM Entertainment, on April 27.

They will go to the event as representatives of Chopard, a high-end Swiss jewelry band. Since 1997, Chopard has been a support of the film festival.

Some other K-pop stars like Bibi for Hopeless and Krystal from f(x) will be there. However, Jennie from Blackpink has not yet announced that she will be on the HBO show The Idol, even though she has been invited.

From May 16 to May 27, the fair will be going on. On May 2, Aespa will share the pre-release track “Welcome to MY World.” On May 8, their third mini-album, “MY WORLD” will come out.
