EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Police are responding after they say a car has crashed into the front steps of a church.

That crashed happened around 4 a.m. Thursday at Rhythm Church on Washington Avenue.

Evansville police say only the driver was in the car and they are alive.

Our 14 News crew on scene says the engine of the car was on fire for a short time, but was quickly put out.
