Chris Pine will be the voice of King Magnifico in the upcoming musical comedy Wish, which Walt Disney Animation Studios will make.
The movie is set to come out in theaters around Thanksgiving. Ariana DeBose plays Asha, a young woman who makes a powerful wish that is granted by a cosmic force named Star.
Together, they go on a trip to show that when the brave will of a person meets the magic of the stars, magical things can happen.
Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn are the directors of the movie. Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes are the producers, and Jennifer Lee and Allison Moore are the executive producer and writers, respectively.
The movie includes original songs by Julia Michaels and Benjamin Rice and a score by Dave Metzger. Alan Tudyk plays Asha’s favorite goat, Valentino, in the movie.
The last thing Chris Pine did was work on Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
Pine said this about the fantasy movie: “I don’t do any stunts in this film. Nothing. I have no action. All I do is run. Run away from shit,” said Pine. “All these poor schmucks had to do all this martial arts training on the weekends, and I was taking walks on the beach. I was reading, and caught up on my Netflix. I had a great time.”
