COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) -The Coca-Cola Space and Science Center invites community members to one of their free “Astronomy Nights.”
The event will be held Aug. 17. It will begin at 9 p.m. in the Omnisphere Planetarium at the center.
During the event, Dr. Rosa Williams will point out constellations and bright objects in the sky.
If weather permits, attendees will move outside to telescopes on their South Lawn to view the moon and other objects in the sky at 9:45 p.m.
The Coca-Cola Space and Science Center is located at 701 Front Avenue in Columbus.
According to officials, parking is available in front of the building and just past the fountain with parallel parking on the road.
