Coleen Rooney’s ‘Wagatha Christie’ Clashes with Rebekah Vardy’s Trademark

Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy’s intense court battle from last summer is still getting a lot of attention, and Coleen Rooney’s tell-all documentary is causing new fights to start.

Dorothy Street Pictures is making the three-part documentary for Disney+. It is said to be called Wagatha Christie: Coleen’s Story.

But things are more complicated because earlier this year, Rebekah Vardy was able to get a trademark for the word “Wagatha Christie.”

This has caused two different points of view to clash. Vardy’s side says that Coleen and Disney+ are not allowed to use the term.

The argument is turning into a final, somewhat small-scale fight between two important people.

The streaming giant recently announced that the documentary will be part of their fall line-up. They are calling it the Three part Coleen Rooney documentary (working title).

The exact name of the documentary hasn’t been revealed, but a source says that the controversial term “Wagatha Christie” is probably in the name.

It’s clear what this means: the term can’t be used without her permission. People involved are aware of these limits, which shows how sensitive the problem is.

The upcoming documentary, which is set to come out in October, will make Ms. Vardy feel even worse.

From Coleen Rooney’s point of view, the documentary will cover the events leading up to her suspicions about Vardy’s alleged betrayals, her process of linking those suspicions to Vardy’s account, and the moment she sent out the explosive tweet saying, “It’s… Rebekah Vardy’s account.”
