OSWEGO, N.Y. — A woman is dead after being hit by a car driven by her boyfriend in the city of Oswego.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department says 31-year-old Seana Doyle was hit and killed on October 26, 2023 just after 2:00 a.m.

The accident happened on Byer Road, in an area that is mostly unlit. Video at the scene shows the driver, Julien Polge, attempting to brake before hitting Doyle.

She was taken to the Oswego Hospital by her boyfriend after he struck her with a car. She was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Doyle was an employee of Cheap Seats Sports Bar, about a mile and a half away from the scene of the accident. In a post on Facebook, the bar says they are deeply saddened by Doyle’s death, and plan to hold a candlelit vigil.
