Collina Strada’s SS25 Show Was All About Being Barefaced and Beautiful

For Collina Strada, barefaced is beautiful. This year, the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 fashion week show was titled “Touch Grass,” an ode to embracing everything the natural world has to offer. Taking place in the Marble Cemetery in the East Village, models walked along the earthy floor in stunning designs that mirrored earthy pastels, lace and the fun prints the sustainable brand is known for. We even spotted the infamous Green Lady and beauty legend Tish Weinstock walking the grassy runway.

New York City-based stylist Charlie Le Mindu, who led the hair with Bumble & Bumble, knew that he had to craft hair that felt wild and free. Ethereal floor length wigs, greasy cool hair, tiny braids, and enhanced natural texture were chosen to help embrace the models’ innate fierceness. Dyed by colorists from the brand and sewn into crinoline, the wigs were braided to mimic natural waves and then unraveled.

Once finished, Le Mindu used Bumble & Bumble’s Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil to add a bit shine and soften the hair. Inspired by Strada herself, the hair team also dressed models with a greasy, cool wet look, using a combination of the same Invisible Oil, Prêt-à-Powder Dry Shampoo and the Surf Spray. Then, on thicker hairtypes, Surf Infusion, a beachy wave spray, offered a softer twist on the wig style utilized throughout the show.

For skincare, the sole sponsor was none other than clinically-backed brand Dieux. No makeup was used throughout the show, with key makeup artist Dick Page saying this in a press statement, “I kept the unique qualities of each model’s beauty by using simple contrasts of skincare texture, smooth, softly glowing skin accented with shining highlights.” First, the face was prepped and moisturized with the Deliverance Serum. Then, Dieux’s Barrier Blanket Balm was applied onto the lips, over the eyelids, the brow bone and the brows to add shine and hold.
