FAIRBORN — The Fairborn Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 34th Annual Car Show from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 on Main Street and Central Avenue in downtown Fairborn.
More than 75 trophies and plaques will be awarded with the first 250 registrants receiving commemorative T-shirts and goodie bags. Registration is $20 with proceeds benefiting Greene County’s Circle of Victory campaign that assists cancer victims in Greene County.
Participants will vote for the top 50 cars that will receive plaques, the top motorcycle, and the top truck. Highlighting the 3:30 p.m. awards ceremony will be a 6-foot tall trophy for a vehicle selected by a Circle of Victory representative with additional top selections including a mayor’s and chamber trophy along with trophies for more than 20 winning vehicles selected by the show’s sponsors.
Operation Fairborn Cares, which assists Greene County Veterans, will conduct a “Heels for Heroes” fundraising race in conjunction with the car show at 1 p.m. The race features men racing in high heels and women wearing combat boots.
