SOUTH PARIS — The annual Solar & EV Expo, hosted by the Center for an Ecology-Based Economy, is set for noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, 256 Main St.; rain or shine.

Western Maine has seen burgeoning electric vehicle adoption over the last 10 years, with hundreds on the road and a growing EV charging network to serve the local community and EV-driving visitors. The expo, held during National Drive Electric Week, has played a critical role in this transition, giving potential EV owners the opportunity to check out the latest EVs and learn directly from the people who drive them, according to a news release from the center.

Local car dealers will offer test drives of current EV models, and Green Wave Electric Vehicles will attend.
