Routine service is essential for keeping an EV in optimal condition, including regular checks of the battery system, electric motor, and other components unique to electric vehicles.
Understanding EV Batteries and Charging
Battery efficiency is a crucial factor for EV performance. Extreme temperatures—both hot and cold—can affect battery range and longevity. To maximize battery life, it’s important to minimize the total number of charges and avoid charging the battery to its maximum capacity regularly.
Many EV owners find that charging their vehicle overnight at home is the most convenient and cost-effective method. Public charging stations are also becoming more widespread, but planning longer trips may require some additional consideration regarding charging locations and times.
