Downtown Almont was packed with muscle cars and a variety of vintage vehicles for the 13th annual Heritage Festival car show on Saturday. Nearly 500 cars lined the streets for the show, including a 1969 Camero SS owned by Roseville resident Ed Kahofer (inset). Kahofer has had his Camaro since graduating from high school in 1979 and primarily brings it out for car shows and leisurely driving in the spring and summertime. Vehicles started lining up for the car show as early as 5:30 a.m. for the 7 a.m. registration start. Festival organizers counted 479 cars altogether, including 354 that were registered before the show’s 11 a.m. registration deadline. Judging also took place for registered cars, and awards were handed out to car owners in several categories. To see more car show photos, turn to page 1B.
