There’s lots to do and see this weekend, as Culture Days activities continue for another week around town and online.

1 — Listen to live music surrounded by art

Remai Modern presents Afrorack, the music-performing persona of multidisciplinary Ugandan artist Bamanya Brian. Working with sound art, electronic music, experimental visuals and kinetic sculpture, he presents a unique performance. The show is in the SaskTel Theatre Friday at 7 p.m. Learn more at remaimodern.org.

2 — See varied comedy in one show

The Comedy Here, There & Everywhere Tour is stopping in Saskatoon. Co-headliners John Dore and Dave Merheje each bring unique humour along with stage and screen experience. They are joined by Canadian comedians Andy Noble and Faris Hytiaa. The show is Friday at the Broadway Theatre at 8 p.m. Learn more at broadwaytheatre.ca.

3 — Learn to make a traditional Ukrainian doll

The Ukrainian Museum of Canada presents Make a Montanka, a traditional Ukrainian doll workshop. Learn the ancient tradition of making knotted dolls symbolizing prosperity, goodness and hope. Take home a 10-inch montanka and the skills to make more. Suitable for ages 12 and up, the workshop is Saturday at the museum at 1 p.m. Materials are provided, but personal decorations are also welcome. Learn more at umcnational.ca.

4 — Experience Harry Potter with a live orchestral score

TCU Place and CineConcerts present Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Concert. As the second film in the Harry Potter series plays in full on a big screen, the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra performs John Williams’ score live.

Watch cars fly, trees fight back and a mysterious house elf warn Harry at the start of his second year at Hogwarts while the music plays right in front of you, bringing the story to life. The concert is presented in two shows at TCU Place on Saturday, at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Learn more at tcutickets.ca.

5 — Enjoy a one-day dance presentation

Free Flow Dance Theatre presents Silhouette, a contemporary dance showcase. The event features new contemporary dance works by Jackie Latendresse, Monique Martin, Meghann Michalsky and Alex Hartshorn.

Special guest Saskatchewan poet laureate Peace Akintade adds a poetic element and local artist Monique Martin translates dancers’ movements into visual art. A mix of solos, duets and group pieces, the show is presented twice on Saturday at The Refinery, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Learn more at ontheboards.ca.
