Nutrition’s Lindsay Malone says there is no evidence that viral “cortisol cocktail” lowers cortisol


Are trending “cortisol cocktails” really helpful for stress and weight loss?
CBS NewsLindsay Malone, registered dietitian and an instructor in the Department of Nutrition at the School of Medicine, said the viral “cortisol cocktail” claims to reduce stress and aid weight loss, but added there’s no evidence it lowers cortisol. However, its ingredients—juice, coconut water and salt—can hydrate and provide electrolytes, offering some nutritional benefits similar to sports drinks.
