Tyla commanded the stage with her singing — and style! — at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show!
On Tuesday, Oct. 15, the 22-year-old musician brought her amapiano tunes to the New York City event while dazzling in a look from the lingerie brand that rivaled the runway models around her.
To sing her viral hit “Water” as well as “PUSH 2 START,” the singer donned an intricate, layered top and bottom set — and matching garter.
Accessorizing the sheer set, Tyla wore a pair of sparkling heels, chunky rings and a glittering makeup look. Oh, and perhaps the most important part: a giant pair of fluffy white Angel wings.
Earlier in the night, Tyla also made an impression on the pre-show carpet in a very different look: a bright pink, floor-length gown.
She paired the show-stopping dress — which featured beaded details, a torso-spanning cutout and a cascading, frilly train — with an messy updo, sparkling sandals and lots of jewelry.

The Grammy-winning artist, whose full name is Tyla Laura Seethal, was one of several musicians in the fashion show’s 2024 lineup, setting a new standard as the event returned from a six year hiatus with an all-women musical lineup and emphasis on inclusion.
Other performances included Cher and Lisa.
Ahead of the show, Tyla told Rolling Stone that growing up, she was “captivated” by the iconic fashion show and its “stunning outfits” and “iconic wings.”
The South African singer is no stranger to making waves with her fashion. At the 2024 Met Gala, her memorable custom Balmain sand dress left viewers totally mesmerized. The dress was so difficult to move in, Tyla had to be lifted up the stairs in the inflexible dress, which ultimately became one of the most viral moments of the night.
She also stunned attendees and the internet when Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing cut off the bottom half of her dress after the carpet. Tyla paired the dress with an hourglass bag and sand brushed on her forearm and shoulder.
Another head-turning look from Tyla came at the 2024 MTV VMAs, where she won the award for best Afrobeats. She glowed on the red carpet thanks to a neon yellow dress, plus fun, bright accessories like her pink Rene Caovilla strappy heels.
The 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show marked the annual runway spectacle’s return after its 2019 cancellation amid criticism for its lack of inclusivity.
The brand promised a more inclusive show this year. “The 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will deliver precisely what our customers have been asking for — the glamour, runway, fashion, fun, wings, entertainment — all through a powerful, modern lens reflecting who we are today,” a rep for Victoria’s Secret shared in a statement with PEOPLE at the time. “We’re thrilled to share a women-led articulation of this iconic property later this year!”
Iconic models like Gigi Hadid, Taylor Hill and Candice Swanepoel stomped the runway, while Tyra Banks closed out the show in a triumphant return to the show.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was streamed on Prime Video and Victoria’s Secret YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram.
