The North Ridgeville Heart & Sole collaborative is hosting a food drive at two indoor walking locations from Oct. 30 to Nov. 16, according to a news release.
All food will be donated to North Ridgeville Community Care, the community’s emergency pantry, the release said.
Walkers may bring non perishable food items to indoor walking, according to the release.
Items requested include soup, canned fruit, peanut butter and jelly, the release said.
Walkers will enter the building’s main doors and sign in at the indoor walking table, according to the release.
A box for donations will be located near the main door, the release said.
• LCCC University Partnership Ridge Campus, 32121 Lorain Road in North Ridgeville, from 5-7 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays.
• Liberty Elementary School, 5700 Jaycox Road in North Ridgeville, from 6-8 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays.
No walking will take place Nov. 2, according to the release.
Heart & Sole is a community-based group powered by the United Way of Greater Lorain County and facilitated by Lorain County Public Health.
The collaborative includes partners from local businesses, agencies and organizations working to improve physical, social and mental wellbeing of those who live, work and visit the community.
