Waterville, Maine – Peak Performance, in conjunction with Colby Athletics, is excited to welcome Mollie Bartles, RDN, LDN as the newest member of the Peak Performance team. She began her post as Registered Dietician consultant this week.
Bartles played softball for the University of New England, graduating in 2016 with a degree in Sport and Recreation Management. She immediately went on to earn the first of her graduate degrees in 2019 in Applied Nutrition – Preventative Diseases, followed by her second in the same field in 2023, this time with a Dietetics Focus. Bartles notes that her drive in the profession comes from a lack of nutritional awareness during her years as an athlete, and she strives to help athletes understand the importance of nutrition.
“We are so excited to welcome Mollie to the Peak Performance team. Mollie will be working with us in a consulting position, with her presence on campus a few times a month. This impact will be substantial for our student-athletes and coaches. Our athletes work so hard at their craft, but half of the work is the recovery and fuel itself. Mollie’s work will help Colby Athletics get to the next level.”
“I am very excited for this opportunity to work with the entirety of the Peak Performance team to help athletes and coaches perform at their best!” said Bartles.
With this addition, the Peak Performance program strengthens its reach in the five major areas of the student-athlete experience, which includes Nutrition, Sports Medicine, Mental Performance, Sports Science, and Strength and Conditioning. The consulting Registered Dietician position was made possible by the support of Friends of Athletics.
