SPRINGFIELD — How can a school lunch program make a difference in addressing student hunger and nutrition?
That’s what the Springfield public school system wanted to know back in 2019 when it opened the doors of a 62,000-square-foot culinary and nutrition center on Cadwell Drive. The location, known as Home Grown Springfield, cooks a wide range of made-from-scratch foods for Springfield’s 70 schools, including public, charter and parochial schools.
