Adele Breaks Down in Tears at Las Vegas Gig After Learning of Matthew Perry’s Death

Adele said some very nice things about comic Matthew Perry after she learned of his death during her Las Vegas show.

The singer of “Hello,” who dressed up as Morticia Adams for Halloween, took a break from her show “Weekends With Adele” to honor the late comic by calling him “incredibly brave.”

She said this about Perry’s famous Friends character Chandler Bing: “I’ll remember that character for the rest of my life, He’s probably the best comedic character of all time.”

Adele told the story of a childhood memory she had with the character by saying, “One of my friends Andrew did the best Chandler impression. He would do it all the time to make us laugh and if any of us were having a bad day or feeling low he would just pretend to be Chandler.”

The singer-songwriter, who is 35 years old, praised the actor’s sincere attempts to quit bad habits.

“He was so open with his struggles with addiction and sobriety, which I think is incredibly, incredibly brave,” she told me.

Later, Adele dedicated her song “When We Were Young” to the musician whose body was found at his home near Los Angeles on October 28.
