Vancouver Fashion Week is back.
The international fashion event officially started on Tuesday and runs through Oct. 27, featuring 50 designer showcases from B.C. and beyond.
“At Vancouver Fashion Week, diversity is our greatest strength,” event founder Jamal Abdourahman said in a news release. “We present the most forward-thinking creative concepts from incredible design talent across Canada and worldwide.”
Vancouver Fashion Week, which takes place this year in David Lam Hall at the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Vancouver at 50 E Pender St., highlights homegrown designers such as Alex S. Yu and Ay Lelum as well as international talent.
Founded in 2001, Vancouver Fashion Week is billed as Canada’s largest fashion week by event organizers.
