Vegan Diets Protect Against Heart Disease


Vegan and vegetarian diets were found to be associated with a 15% lower risk of cardiovascular disease and an 8% lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease, according to a new review published in the American Journal of Preventive Cardiology. A vegan diet was also associated with improvements in cardiovascular disease risk factors, including blood pressure, cholesterol, and body mass index.
