Amber Heard left Hollywood to move to Spain because she was often bullied during and after her libel case against ex-boyfriend Johnny Depp.
After the Aquaman actress lost a court case to the Pirates of the Caribbean star, she and her daughter Oonagh Paige moved to Madrid, Spain, to find peace.
Daily Mail says that there is a chance that Heard will go back to acting after taking a break, but she does not want to go back to the US.
Alison Boshoff, a writer for the magazine, said, “I can reveal that Heard has quit Hollywood and quietly relocated to Spain with her young daughter Oonagh.”
A close friend of the actor told the writer, “She’s bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise.”
But Amber Heard’s friend hinted that she might go back to Hollywood at some point. The writer was told, “I don’t think she is in any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood. But she will probably come back for the right project when the time is right.”
Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard for $50 million because she slandered him by saying in an opinion piece for The Washington Post that she had been a victim of domestic violence.
Heard sued Depp back and asked for $100 million. After a six-week trial, however, the judges agreed with the star of Edward Scissorhands and gave him $15 million in damages.
Later, the libel case was solved when it was decided that Heard would pay Depp $1 million in damages to make up for what he had been hurt by.
