Herd Tennis Closed Out Play at Gamecock Shootout

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Marshall University Tennis team finished action at the Gamecock Invitational on Sunday in Columbia, South Carolina.
 
The final day of action was highlighted by a 6-3, 6-3 straight-set win by Johanna Strom over No. 39 Ozlem Uslu of Virginia Tech.
 
Andjela Lopicic dropped just three games to Virginia Tech’s Michael Hegarty in a 6-2, 6-1, victory as Doroteja Joksovic took down Laima Frosch in straight sets.
 
Joksovic also picked up a big doubles win with Emma Vanderheyden over South Carolina’s Sarah Hammer and Misa Malkin, 6-3.
