When it comes to agriculture and farm production, Carver County is largely about dairy, corn and soybeans. But there are also a considerable number of pumpkin growers in the county who get attention at this time of year.

According to the 2022 Census of Agriculture, there are 627 producers of pumpkins in Minnesota and 14 specifically within Carver County, notes Coleen Carlson, University of Minnesota extension educator in Carver and Scott counties.
