Lied Center discusses upcoming holiday productions


LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Tuesday marks the opening night for Disney’s The Little Mermaid at the Lied Center. People can be immersed in the magical kingdom under the sea through Sunday, November 19.

Bill Stephan, the Executive Director at the Lied Center, said it’s the first time The Little Mermaid will grace their stage. He said it’s the perfect production for families to enjoy filled with vibrant colors, and the classic music folks know and love.

If you’re looking for fun holiday productions this season, the Lied Center has you covered.

On Tuesday, December 17, The Illusionists will perform ‘The Magic of the Holidays. The group of five magicians will dazzle the audience with illusions with a holiday twist. The Lied Center said it will be a jaw-dropping experience for families.

The Midtown Men are also heading to the Lied Center. If you‘re a fan of classic 60s rock n roll this one is for you. They will be performing classics from iconic groups like The Beatles, The Temptations, and The Four Seasons. And since it‘s the holidays, they will sing Christmas classics like “Let It Snow” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” It’s for one night only on Saturday, December 21.
