The whirling sounds of blenders and happy chatter welcome guests into Motivation Nutrition. The family-business environment brings smiles to customers’ faces right as they step in. So many drinks to try, so many options.
Motivation Nutrition is a local, family-owned nutrition club that opened in 2022. They make health-based drinks such as teas and shakes. Their motto is creating a “healthy lifestyle by providing healthy nutritional shakes and energizing teas,” for the Lincoln community.
“It started from my love of tea. I was a heavy energy drink person for years, literally four a day for probably 10 years,” Megan Watson, the owner of Motivation Nutrition, said. “I found a nutrition club like ours, and I fell in love with the tea. That’s the gist of why I’m here, to make people feel better.”
Watson wanted to establish a place where people could purchase healthy drinks that give customers energy without the harmful side effects that come with long-term use of energy drinks.
“It’s just super calm and inviting,” Brittany McCoy, a frequent customer of Motivation Nutrition, said. “The gal that works there, she is in tune with one customer at a time, which is appreciated.”
McCoy has been constantly visiting Motivation Nutrition for the past six months. She chooses to continue to come in based on the healthy drinks and welcoming staff.
McCoy’s favorite drink to get is the Sour Cotton Candy tea, which is also the most popular drink at Motivation Nutrition. The teas have various fruit flavors, for example, the Sour Cotton Candy tea has a blueberry and sour flavor. The shop has energizing teas, lemonades, protein coffees and meal-replacement shakes.
“I just feel better when I drink my tea,” McCoy said. “I feel better, I like how it tastes and it’s something I look forward to when I wake up in the morning.”
Something that makes Motivation Nutrition stand out amongst other drink places is the different supplements that are included in their beverages. They often add collagen and other supplements that support hydration and the immune system, which helps prevent sickness.
“I just feel like, if you’ve never been into (Motivation Nutrition), you really should because you’re going to get what you’re looking for and true authentic people who just want the best for everybody,” Watson said.
Students can visit Motivation Nutrition at 8600 S 30th St Suite 110. The shop is open Mondays through Fridays 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
