Guthrie County ISU Extension Hosting Stay Independent Nutrition and Wellbeing Series

Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be holding a health related program for the elderly.

Program Director Shelby Van Horn says that they will be hosting a Stay Independent program, which is focused on nutrition and wellbeing for those that are 60 years of age and older. She mentions the program topics include nutrition risks, environmental factors to age in place, fraud, and awareness about planning for the future. Van Horn adds that it is a series of classes that will begin on November 19th and occur weekly for a month from 10am to 11am at the Guthrie County Extension Office. The four dates are November 19th and 26th, and December 3rd and 10th. The cost is $10 per session, or $30 for all four sessions.
