Michael Cera Describes Tremendous Pain When Rihanna Struck Him in the 2013 Film

Michael Cera is thinking about the time he spent making This Is the End and how it made him feel sad.

Rihanna and the 35-year-old actor both had roles in the 2013 movie. In the movie, Cera plays a made-up version of himself at a Los Angeles housewarming party.

While there, the actor from Juno hits Rihanna in the behind, which makes the singer smack him across the page.

In an interview with GQ that came out earlier this week, Cera said that the slap was real and that it really shocked him.

“She definitely hit me,” the star said to the outlet. “But I did want it. I think it’s a lot more funny and believable. She hit me hard because a fake slap doesn’t look good.

He made a joke by saying, “Yeah, she really sent me flying, and it was great. And now it’s on film forever, this pain that I experienced.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone in June, the actor who played Barbie also talked about the slap. He said that the founder of Fenty Beauty wasn’t afraid to hit him and didn’t need much reasoning.

“I thought it would look a lot better if she hit me. I don’t think it took much convincing to get her to do it,” he said. “I definitely did not regret it! I was into it.”
