Jerry Seinfeld will visit Topeka in 2025. What the comic has done in recent years


Comedian Jerry Seinfeld is making his way to the capital city.The Topeka Performing Arts Center and JS Touring announced Friday that Jerry Seinfeld will perform on the TPAC stage in April.

“Seinfeld has been hailed for his uncanny ability to joke about the little things in life that relate to audiences everywhere,” a Friday news release said.

Seinfeld’s comedy career took off after his first appearance on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” in 1981. Eight years later, he teamed up with Larry David to create the NBC comedy series “Seinfeld.”

Seinfeld will hit the Topeka Performing Arts Center stage at 7 p.m. Friday, April 18.

When can you purchase tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld?

Tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22.

Ticket prices are expected to start at $55.

They can be purchased online at Topeka Performing Arts Center website or at the TPAC box office.

Seinfeld’s success

“Seinfeld” ran for nine seasons, winning numerous Emmy, Golden Globe and People’s Choice awards. It was named the greatest television show of all time in 2009 by TV Guide and in 2012 was identified as the best sitcom ever in a “60 Minutes”/Vanity Fair poll, said the news release.

His latest Emmy-nominated Netflix projects include “Jerry Before Seinfeld” and “23 Hours to Kill,” along with the highly acclaimed web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

The comedian has also starred in, written and produced the movies “Comedian” and “Bee Movie.” He directed and produced the Broadway hit “Colin Quinn: Long Story Short” and wrote three best-selling books: “Is this Anything?,” “The Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Book” and “Seinlanguage” He also wrote the children’s book “Halloween.”

He stars in the Emmy-nominated comedy film “Unfrosted,” which he directed, co-wrote and produced.

Seinfeld continues to perform both nationally and internationally.
