Montana Museum: The Eight Immortals (museum exhibition)


In Chinese mythology the Eight Immortals (八仙)are a legendary group whose powers can bestow life or destroy evil. They are popular elements in secular Chinese culture and are revered among Toaists. On the campus of the University of Montana (UM), the Montana Museum of Art and Culture has an exhibition, The Eight Immortals, ceramics made in 2006 by UM Faculty member Beth Lo.
