Dr. Anna Marie’s 7-day challenge aims to balance blood sugar with simple lifestyle tweaks

November is National Diabetes Month, a month to raise awareness and educate people about diabetes.

Eyewitness News got the chance to stop by Happy Whole You, jump in the sauna and do a foot soak all in the name of health. Dr. Anna Marie, a doctor of natural medicine emphasized the importance of tools such as a sauna to help your blood pressure and vascular system.

“We forget that our blood is like our highway of health,” said Dr Anna Marie.

Another key to ensuring your body is detoxing and maintaining good liver health is to implement things like a detoxifying foot soak. This helps to not only detox the liver but also eases your stress which is helpful when working to balance your blood sugar.

Dr. Anna Marie created a seven day blood sugar balancing challenge that you can do at home. All you need to focus on are three things; no sugar filled drinks or diet soda, at least 15 minutes of exercise daily and get 25 to 30 grams of protein and 8 to 10 grams of fiber at each meal.

Dr. Anna Marie suggests trying this for seven days and assessing how your body feels after a week, she has a hunch you’ll be feeling pretty good.
