If you didn’t already know, the World Series 2023 is coming to Phoenix!
In case you have not been paying the slightest bit of attention, the Arizona Diamondbacks are playing the Texas Rangers in the 2023 World Series. Games 3, 4 and 5 will be played on the DBacks’ home turf at Chase Field in Phoenix.
Tickets for games 3 and 4 are sold out with reseller prices on StubHub, SeatGeek, Vividseats, Gametime and eBay ranging from $440 to $3,450. Tickets for a potential game 5 are also selling fast.
With this high demand, one wonders who is going to these games? Will any famous faces be spotted in the stands or boxes?
Here are the celebrities we’d love to see come to Phoenix for the 2023 World Series.
Emma Stone
Stone was born in Scottsdale and lived at the Camelback Inn until the age of 12. Her parents were co-owners of the Camelback Golf Club in Scottsdale and Stone performed at the Valley Youth Theatre. She attended the all-girls Catholic school Xavier College Preparatory before moving to Hollywood, California, at 15.
Stone isn’t shy about discussing her Arizona roots. That’s why it would be great to see her rocking a DBacks T-shirt during the Series. She also has the movie “Poor Things” coming out Dec. 8, so a little public face time wouldn’t hurt.

Michael Phelps
The most decorated Olympic athlete ever, with 28 medals in swimming, has been calling Arizona home for a while now, living in Paradise Valley with his family and getting married there in 2016 to Nicole Michele Phelps.
Phelps threw out the first pitch of game 5 of the DBacks’ National League Championship Series against the Philadelphia Phillies in Phoenix. Although Phelps has been a Baltimore Orioles fan, it is nice to see him embrace his new home state and root for the DBacks. Maybe he’ll keep this team spirit going with a World Series appearance.
Devin Booker
It’s always nice to see other athletes in a city rooting for each other. The Phoenix Suns superstar shooting guard was at games 4 and 5 of the NLCS against the Phillies. He tweeted his congrats to the team (with a word we can’t publish here) for their game 4 win Oct. 20.
Although Booker’s playing status is unclear, the next three Suns games will be at home. It would be cool to see Booker cheering on the DBacks in his downtime again.
Stevie Nicks
Music legend Nicks was born in Phoenix but moved around a lot due to her father’s job. From 1981-2007 she had a house in Paradise Valley.
She has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, for her work in Fleetwood Mac since 1988 and then in 2019 she was honored for her solo work. During previous concerts with Fleetwood Mac, Nicks has said that Arizona is her home.
She and Billy Joel have a concert planned at Chase Field on Dec. 8. It would be fun to see Nicks rooting for her home team next and it would give her the opportunity to scope out the venue.
Frankie Muniz
The actor turned race car driver most famously known for his role as Malcolm in “Malcolm in the Middle” has been an Arizona resident for almost 15 years now. He’s lived in the state longer than he’s lived anywhere else.
In an interview with The Arizona Republic from 2020, Muniz said he is a huge Arizona sports fan, “I love the Cardinals. I love the Diamondbacks. I love the Coyotes. So I try to support our city and our state as much as possible.”
He even cheered on the DBacks earlier this season so in an effort to keep his Arizona spirit going, it would be great to see Muniz at Chase Field for the World Series.
Alice Cooper
Alice Cooper’s rock ‘n’ roll career has spanned five decades and he’s revered for his scary stage persona.
But there’s a softer side to Cooper, who moved to Phoenix as a child and is an alum of Cortez High School. He lives in Paradise Valley with his wife Sheryl and they do charitable work through organizations like their Solid Rock Teen Center and Christmas Pudding variety show fundraiser.
Cooper is a longtime Diamondbacks fan and has a partnership with Diamondbacks relief pitcher Kevin Ginkel where Ginkel donates a guitar to the teen center for every home strikeout. Maybe Cooper will turn out to cheer on Ginkel and the team.
Joe Jonas
Joe Jonas has been in the spotlight quite a bit lately following his split from Sophie Turner. The singer, songwriter and actor was born in Casa Grande. He performed just down the street from Chase Field at the Footprint Center on Sept. 6, his first concert with the Jonas Brothers after filing for divorce.
During the concert, Nick Jonas said, “It is so, so good to be back in the birthplace of my favorite person in the entire world, Joseph Adam Jonas.”
Maybe Joe and his brothers would like a break from all the drama and watching a World Series in Phoenix game would be just the ticket.
Kourtney Kardashian Barker
The media personality and socialite is the only one of the Kardashian-Jenner siblings to have a college degree. This degree came from none other than the University of Arizona where she received a bachelor’s degree in theater arts with a minor in Spanish.
Her sister Kim Kardashian made an Instagram post in August 2021 saying that visiting Kourtney at UA kept Kim from turning into a party girl because she was put off by all the revelry she saw there.
“I was never a student there but u shaped my life more than you know,” Kim Kardashian said in the post.
Kardashian Barker is due to give birth to her fourth child any week now so she’s unlikely to show up for a game. Maybe she’ll be watching on TV.
Hailey Bieber
The model, media personality and socialite was born in Tucson to actor Stephen Baldwin and graphic designer Kennya Deodato Baldwin.
She’s been doing a bit of traveling lately and promoting her skin-care brand rhode. She and her husband Justin Bieber visited Arizona most recently in 2019.
Seeing the DBacks during the World Series would give the couple another fun trip, allow Hailey to connect with her state of birth and give fans some interesting outfit combinations to look at.
Jimmy Kimmel
Did you know that Kimmel attended Arizona State University for a while? After his then-girlfriend Gina Maddy got pregnant, Kimmel dropped out and pursued a full-time radio career, landing and then losing jobs at KZZP and two other Phoenix radio stations in the following years.
Obviously, he found his footing in the entertainment business.
A callback to his very early career days and a visit to Phoenix for the World Series could be fun for Kimmel.
David Henrie
Best known for playing Justin Russo in Disney’s “Wizards of Waverly Place” and Ted Mosby’s son in “How I Met Your Mother,” Henrie was raised in Phoenix. Now a husband and father to three children, a family trip to Phoenix might be a nice way to show his kids his roots. What’s better than bonding with your kids over baseball?
Jordin Sparks
The singer and actress was born and raised in Phoenix, she attended Sandra Day O’Connor High School and frequently performed the national anthem for the Suns, Cardinals and Diamondbacks.
How great would it be to see her sing the national anthem at Chase Field?
