Opening Reception for the Fall 2024 Seniors Exhibition and Annual Juried Exhibition on December 5th


WILSON, N.C. — November 21, 2024 — Barton Art Galleries is pleased to announce the opening of the Fall 2024 Seniors Exhibition and the Annual Juried Exhibition on Thursday, Dec. 5, in the Case Art Building on the Barton College campus. An opening reception for both exhibitions will be held that evening from 5-7 p.m. This event is open to the public at no charge, and the community is invited to attend.

Eight seniors within the School of Arts and Humanities, representing the Mass Communications and Visual Arts programs, will have their work on view in the Barton Art Galleries through Thursday, Dec. 12.

Jasper Carpenter of Nashville plans to graduate in December with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Osenyonye Nwokolo of St. Joseph, Trinidad and Tobago, plans to graduate in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Journalism and a minor in Digital Communications.

Connor Stanley of Garner plans to graduate in December with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Digital Communications.

Cactus Painting by Barton College Senior Randy VickRandy Vick of Nashville plans to graduate in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art and Design with a concentration in Graphic Design.

Cody Wilbourne of Raleigh plans to graduate in December with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications Studies.

For the annual Juried Student Exhibition, Barton students are invited to enter a maximum of three works of art in any medium. The guest juror judges each work and selects those chosen for the exhibition.

The Barton Art Galleries, located inside Case Art Building on the campus of Barton College, is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Friday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., or by appointment.
