Part alpine ski race, part music festival, Killington’s marketing specialist Brooke Geery said the Stifel Killington Cup is “the biggest thing that happens in this area.”

Planning for the annual event starts more than a year in advance, and it takes place Friday, Nov. 29, through Sunday, Dec. 1, this year. Featuring 100 of the fastest female technical alpine skiers in the world, it includes Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin in the slalom and giant slalom events on Killington’s Superstar trail. Plus, a weekend of movies, talks, fireworks and live concerts with headliners Fitz and the Tantrums, Matt Quinn from Mt. Joy, Eve 6, and DJ Ross One.
