The Adams State University art faculty exhibit, Descubrimiento e Ilumniación (Discovery & Illumination), is currently on display in the Cloyde Snook Gallery.
A closing reception for the show is from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, in the Visual Arts Building.
The exhibit includes special emphasis on new art faculty Ana Melendez, assistant professor of art, and Peter Costas, assistant professor of photography. There will be brief gallery talks and performance art. Ugly sweaters are welcome. There will be holiday treats and warm cider.
The Hatfield Gallery features the exhibit “Plato’s Basement,” by Paul Tunis, assistant professor NTT of communication, and Anthony Guntren, assistant professor of art and gallery director. The exhibition includes a variety of (d)evolving works that explore neglected technology. “Works are added into the space every few days, so check back often,” said Guntren.
