‘Graham Reynolds Ruins the Holidays’

Austin-based composer Graham Reynolds will return to the Rollins Studio Theatre at the Long Center to perform holiday favorites in the minor key. He will be joined by Carolyn Trowbridge on the vibraphone.

Artisan Mercado

The Downtown Austin Alliance will host three indoor market days on Saturdays in December to showcase Mexican and Latin artists and artisans. Shop from handcrafted jewelry, clothing, purses, art, ceramics and more.

Wheatsville Arts Festival

Wheatsville Food Co-op in South Austin will host this festival in the store parking lot to showcase local makers and artists, art demos, live music and more.

‘Peter Pan’

Peter Pan flies into Austin this month at Bass Concert Hall. Texas Performing Arts Broadway in Austin will present the musical production for one week with classic songs like “I’m Flying” and “Neverland.”

Blanton All Day: Jingle Jam

The Blanton Museum of Art’s monthly all-day event with art talks, music, storytimes and more will be holiday-themed in December. See current exhibitions such as “Native America: In Translation,” attend a drawing class or hear the Conspirare Artist Citizen Choral Collective perform.

A Journey on the Polar Express

Chapparal Ice, Austin’s ice skating facility, will present this holiday show where skaters will tell the story of “The Polar Express” and reveal the true meaning of Christmas. Russel’s Bakery & Coffee will be on-site for limited hot drinks and themed snacks.

Cars and Coffee Austin

Cars and Coffee is a free, family-friendly event on select Sundays at the Circuit of the Americas. There will be car shows displaying classic cars, race cars, offroaders and more. Additional activities may require a paid ticket.

‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ at The Austin Symphony

The Austin Symphony will play a live score of director Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” during a screening of the movie at the Long Center for Performing Arts.

Third Thursday: Holiday Celebration

The Bullock Texas State History Museum will host its last Third Thursday program of the year featuring a holiday celebration. During the museum’s extended hours, guests can see a live harp performance or make a custom ornament.
